Lan gaming computer £400-1000

Hi guys,

Currently i have:
240gb hyperx 3k ssd
I7 4790k
Z97 gaming 5 MSI Mobo (red lights at the back of the mobo)
Avexir venom ram (16gb) 2100mhz
Corasir h100i
GTX970
all in a H440

Really i don't want to take much out of the H440, i have some bits kicking about but they are 1st gen-ish ddr3 and amd, which doesn't have the power which im after anymore. I would rather no overclock anything just because i am a novice and i don't want to damage a system.

I wan to start attending some lans, however my current computer is a bit much and i would rather make 1 trip to the car rather than 2, so the requirement is:
after a easy to carry system which can take the 970.

don't have the shopping app atm, will get it asap. Any builds i can get would be nice. In relation to games i will be playing.... need something which can handle most games, for a reasonable price.

So can anything from your list of existing parts be reused or is it a fresh new build?
 
umm gpu really i have some 1600mhz dominator ddr3 8gb (from my older gaming computer, thats pretty much it atm. Think of it as a fresh build, the gpu is what i want to switch between the units really as it is the most accessible.

Looks good, what would you personally reconmend for a lan party. Given the price range and you can add a gpu and take the value up to £1200 max

Don't really need a soundcard as mobo has got one onboard.
Ram seem a bit steep for what it is... You can similar at better price.
That's a lot of SSD... Not sure you'll need all that? Id probably go for 250gb SSD and 1TB HDD..

The mobo i have atm cannot use my kraken headset, whih is a MSI one; i;ve done everything in my skill category to fix this but it still doesn't work, so i thought i would cut out the problem.

The ram, i me thinking about going for a colour match build or not really. Plus the raiden stuff looks really cool.

SSD i wanted to run RAID 0 array - on my current computer i have 2x 240gb ssds, 2x 2tb hhds and im most of the way through stuff. plus i have a spare hhd kicking around somewhere.

Where will the sound card go on that board? it only has a single expansion slot.

Mybad with the mobo and 1 slot. i did notice the bundle. Stulid any case recommendations over the the corsair?
 
Not had much to do with laptops, you also pay more and get less "spec" for you money for the screen and convenience of portability.

That ROG thing seems ok apart from the 750ti which is nothing like a GTX970/R9 290/280/GTX770.
