LAN in Bristol

Their website lists the following:

We will be playing the following:
Counter-Strike Source
Team Fortress 2
UT2004 or UT3 (maybe both!)
Dawn of War
Company of Hereos
Battlefield 2
ET: Quake Wars
Call of Duty 4 (or 2)
...
You are also welcome to bring along any games you wish to play and if there is enough interest at the event we may get a load of people playing.
 
I would, but ours is on the same weekend :P

This may be a long shot but I'm guessing you're Hunter from BeyondUnreal... welcome :). Probably won't be able to make this as I'll be wrapping up my final year project, but if you're planning any in the future I'd be interested to know.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner didn't expect so many responses.

Future dates will go on how well our first event goes, so far we may never do them again as no one has signed up. We need at least 25 people signed up (and paid) before the middle of March for this to happen.

As said we'll be doing loads of things, I'm in the process of sorting out sponsers so we have prizes and if enough people play DoW for example we'll hopefully sort some prizes etc out.
 
£25 sound a bit expensive.

Might be interested in going depends on my finances, im in the middle of moving to bristol this is going to be a very expensive month.
 
I know, but if we had 45 confirmed people right now we could probably have done it a bit cheaper.

If we get 45 people at the event I'm looking in to doing a refund, money off LAN 2 type thing.
 
Sorry, as I said above, I've never been to a LAN before but I'm really considering this. Will there be Internet access? I ask because I only play 4 out of the 10 games listed and would probably find myself quite bored just sitting there while everyone is playing the games I don't play

there isn't, what will be happing is a lot of things will be going on at once. I know I'm probably more interested in playing with smaller groups than huge tournaments.

We can probably also sort a loan of games out for the event so long as they aren't steam games.

Also we're looking at dropping to cost from £25 to £20 or maybe even £15 depending if we get people signed up. I'm currently working on a proper booking form which should be up tonight.
