I have a Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 R1.0 And i cant seem to get the LAN to work.

Its enabled in the bios, Ive installed the relevant drivers and that, but its not displying anything, or showing anything in the device manager.

Infact the LAN isn't even listed, and ive scanned for hardware changes.

Is there anything else that could be causing this issue?

Have just pulled the battery from the mobo and left for a few seconds.

Reconfigured evrything in Bios.

Still not detected!

Are there any services i could have disbaled that could have stopped it from working?

A Windows Update maybe?

Well have you gone through and disabled anything or is it a fresh install?

Any lights on the port/router showing it's connected?

Is it listed in 'Other Device' in device manager?

You could try a Linux LiveCD to see if it works then.

Its a recent install of Win 7

No devices listed under other or hidden in Device manager

Chipset drivers are installed. Make sure to install all latest drivers when reinstalling OS

I guess its either a dodgy installation or a dead LAN port!

As asked above, any lights either on router or LAN port indicating its connected?

Have you got another device that will confirm whether the actual connection is live? I had to put a LAN card in my pc as my LAN port failed a while back - assus mb, not sure if it's a common issue or not

Does sound like it (I assume you used the same cable to connect to the HD Box), LAN cards are very cheap - you could google that specific mb to see if anything pops up re Lan port issues but sounds like a Lan card is now required

I've seen this a couple of times, where the LAN port just dies on the mobo.

Hopefully you have some PCI space to wack a new NIC in
