Hi guys.

Me and a mate are thinking of hosting a small lan party with a few friends and were wondering how the networking can be configured? Here is an image that I thought would best describe how I believe things would work. I would just like someone to clarify if this is the correct setup. If not, any help would be much appreciated. We'd also like to have internet access too which is why I have included the Superhub diagram.

Cheers in advance

Should be fine with that, might get abit of capping due to the powerline adapters from what I've experienced in the past.

I remeber lans :D The best solution is the longest ethernet cable you can get and then a switch in the room where you are playing as the power line adapters are ok but save your money and do teh cheap solution 1st.

15 to 20m cable and a 4 or 8 port switch for less that 25 quid

Looks good to me, although id probably just invest in a long cat5e cable instead of using the powerline for so many people - just improve the performance of the internet a little.

Plus, the long ethernet cable is way more ghetto, and isn't that what LANs are all about? So many fond memories...
