Lan Party System for £1200

I will post pics as soon as I have got all the bits together.

I think I will swap the GPU to the one you have suggested seems good.
The RAM I don't mind spending the bit more for the Samsung.
The h100 I had in there as im not hugely interested in having a cd drive as i rarely use mine anyway and don't watch blue rays on the pc.

Im looking at more like £1500 to spend (had a bit of overtime ^^) Any other suggestions for improvement or aesthetics ?

Hmm changing the fans seems like a good idea i take it that's a pretty simple job. Which ones would you recommend out of those ?
 
The H100 fans are considered to be a lil noisey at full load (you dont have to set it to max). At a LAN party I'd question you'd notice the noise to be honest.

I'm not sure on the clearance with the DVD drive bay once the H100 is in but maybe you could add a fan controller with a LCD in the 5.25 bay?
 
That works if you go for a setup using a smaller rad the h100 means you cant use the drive. Not sure exactly how much that would affect the temperatures tbh
 
I dont know how deep the fan controller would go into the case. It wont be as far as a DVD drive. I personally would try and mount the rad externally (remove the top grill obviously), some cutting maybe required.

If you look at the link you see what I mean as there isn't much to the fan controller I would bet it would fit with the H100.

From looking at other peoples setups most people are saying go with a 140mm power supply any recommendations ?

Grab the ivy bridge shuttle as a starter and go from there. Pretty sure it's man enough for the big cards etc. Mine was awesome till I got bored and wanted more space.

You could go the route of using a boatload of 2.5" drives (western digi scorpio blacks and SSD's) to boost the number of drives you can get in the case. They are generally VERY well thought out with all your cable management etc done.
