*using the ip35 pro mobo (with duel LAN)*

basically heres my problem, a few days ago i set up a network between this pc and my old p4 which works fine when all devices are 'present' but everytime i start my pc my 'Generic Marvell Yukon Chipset based Ethernet Controller' is not in the connections list or device manager and to get it back i have found i need to open 'internet explorer' wait for it to 'detect proxy settings' and then google loads (my internet is connected to the 'realtek' lan and the 'marvell goes to my old pc') now internet explorer works i have to 'scan for hardware changes' in device manager and then i get it back and it works again.... :) but i shouldn't have to do this everytime i need to use network :( i have tryed the latest drivers which makes the problem worse so i dont know what else i could try. HELP

o i forgot 2 say, its just a simple LAN to LAN via crossover cable, the problem is that the LAN device on this pc dosn't work on startup, my realtek one is fine (thats the one connected directly to my modem by straight patch cable) :)

EDIT: my old pc connects to the interent via 'gateway' connection through this pc :) (that brings me to another weird issue i have is that my old pc gives a better ping time on 'speedtest.net' then this pc which connects directly to my modem

whats ICS?

the only problem im having is that the 'Generic Marvell Yukon Chipset based' isnt in 'network connections' or 'device manager' at startup and i have to scan it back in for it to work again, normally the kind of problem a simple driver update would fix, but when i try that it stops working completly :(
