Using a netgear router, tried setting up a LAN for gaming, not a clue how to, I can share files via my network places etc, but it doesn't see anything when trying to play warcraft 3 etc.
I didn't use the 'set up a wireless network for a small home or office' to set it up, should i do this?

Pretty sure that this problem isn't just wc3, having trouble setting up a static IP address even, although both the computers can connect to the internet and share files, I think i should have took a little more time sorting it out :) any help would be welcome, if not ill add it to the long list of things i want to sort out, but cant

Still no luck in getting it sorted, think I have a static IP address now though,
However the address I used to put in (192.168.0.1) which is default, has now changed, not sure what too though haha.

If I can get find the address to enter and get back to it ill post some screenshots to see if you can spot whats wrong, or if you like try and hack me? :p
Please help someone, Thanks.

Reset the modem, everything is back to default now.
I hate networking too, seems most people do due to the amount of replies :D
Few screenies of the current settings, do you have any idea what needs changing?

Yeah did that before I reset it all.

Changed the DNS address
* Primary DNS settings are 193.38.113.3
* Secondary DNS settings are 194.117.157.4

From the telewest site

And now the IP address is static.

Not a clue where to go from here.

Thanks a lot for the help by the way, wish i could get this sorted, having a poker night tommorow, wouldn't mind having a LAN session as well.
