LAN session - driving game suggestions please

Hi all,

Myself and a few mates have decided to get together for a LAN session in a few weeks, it's been a few years since we had one so should be a laugh.

We're all quite avid COD4 players so will probably play that mostly, as well as a bit of Battlefield 2 for messing about/humour value etc. But we'd also quite like a driving/racing game to break it up a bit too, and as none of us really play one at the moment, I was hoping some forum members could provide some informed suggestions!

I've read a bit about Test Drive Unlimited, is it any good?

Flatout 2 is always a laugh, as is trackmania

Flatout is great for a laugh, but no bots sadly.

Try TOCA race driver 3 - OK admittedly it has StarFarce protection, but you can all LAN off 1 DVD once its installed.

Gets better when you've unlocked some more tracks by doing the main game bit, but you've got loads of options and car types, Nascar or big truck racing is superbly funny, 800Bhp trucks going round corners!!

If you can grab yourselves some racing wheels then NFS:Carbon is still quite fun but theres plenty of better more realistic racing games out there.

Don't go for too much realism, ruins the fun of a LAN and messing around on it - Get NFS: Most Wanted

I'd recommend DotA for a lan party, had one a few weeks ago, its a fantastic on-line team game, just google DotA for more info
