Lan setup - windows 7 and Xp - how do i do it?

I'm sure there was a significant change to networking from XP to Windows 7 and there have been lots of issues. With both set to default automatic settings on teh Windows 7 PC go to advanced networking and unset 128 bit encryption by selecting '40 -or 50 bit encryption'.

In most case I think network visibility is only one way.

well, that seems to have sorted the problem and I've done the same on my laptop and it's also sorted the same issue with that too!!! :)
