Lan switch into router?

Hello,

I have a router (wired) and it has 4 exits, all 4 are used at the moment and i want to add a 5th pc into the network, can i plug a network switch into a router and would all pc's (also the ones on the switch) have internet that way.
Also do i need a crossed or straight cable for this ( between router and hub ) ?
Can the switch also be wiress and would that way the pc's on it have internet ( pc wireless to switch, then switch wired into router) as i just need 3 of my pc's to be wired, rest can be wireless and its also for a future psp...

I dont have money for a wireless router... or a router with 8 ports, lan switches seem a lot cheaper...

Yes you can plug in a switch, most have auto sensing uplink ports so no need to worry about cable types and if you want wifi you need an Access Point. I like the simple ones
