Hi Guys,
Wondering if you can help, have recently upgraded to a q6600, another 2 gig or ram and a asus p5n-d motherboard. All was going fine, until i decided to ditch my old 80gig hdd, and upgrade to a 250gig one. Installed windows fine, copied a load of files across from my 80gig(the hdd im on now). The only problem i'm having is that I cant connect to my internet on it. If i connect on wlan it says its connected but if i go to a webpage it says it cant find server. If i go to properties and click support, no ip address, subnet or default gateway comes up. And finally if I try and ping something, like my router it comes up saying that function isnt supported and tells me to contact my system admin (me lol). The same happens if I plug in directly on lan.
Have tried setting a static ip address, and using the drivers off the cd, which have worked in the past. The internet is obviously working on this windows install. It's XP Pro 32bit by the way.
Thanks for any help, am stumped!
