What's peoples views on this? Ignorance is bliss or an inconvienient truth ?

It's obviously real, and not 'propoganda' as some like to say, propoganda is spreading a lie, where as this stuff is literally filmed so is reality.

I think at the very least humans need to rapidly change the ways they treat animals & especially in these environments.

Same reason the industry still exists i guess - money, the owners of the press are mates with the owners of massive industry. Not sure why you don't think its real, its some pretty advanced CGI if its not? lol

I've no doubt the video footage isn't real thats pretty obvious, but who's to say its not footage taken from places with very lax laws and used as propaganda material in countries that already do have animal welfare laws in place. Although its obvious that some abattoirs don't always follow them.

I'm a flexitarian so I eat vegetarian at home, but will eat meat if I am out. (if I'm going to pay £30 in a resteraunt i'll be eating a steak thanks), having watched the above it won't change that. Even though the treatment those animals were getting is horrendous.

I worked with a guy who had worked at an abattoir previously. He said any talk of humane killing is rubbish. He reckoned that you could smell the fear from the animals and they were very distressed. His job was to make sure cows were dead after being shot in the head with a bolt. He had to push a rod deep into the wound to see if the animal would shows any sign of life. if it did, they shot it again.

Yeah its pretty obvious real on the ground animal welfare doesn't **really** exist - the boss of each place just wants each animal to end up dead - which happens 100% of the time of course - they care little about how they die.

It's basically Animal Auschwitz - sure a few will get stunned properly and 'never feel a thing' (yeah you reading this laughed as uncomfortably as I did as I wrote it), but the reality is, all will know they are going to die (they are not stupid even if they are not human level intelligence) - its in the DNA of every animal to avoid death, they will know its a death factory, smell, atmosphere, squeals of the dying.

They won't drug them of course with proper aesthetic as it affects the meat, yet their ability to feel pain is no different to you or me.

Anyone want to volunteer to be stunned on the head with a shock gun, have their throat slit 'die' - but then doctors instantly seal the wound, pump you full of blood and revive you ? - then we will know what its like for the animals - OR can we all guess its a pretty grim way to go already ?......yeah I thought so.

It's why I won't eat our fellow life forms.
