Hi

I'm looking into getting a Land Rover for where i work. We've taken on a lot of conservation work and footpath maintence and i would like a vehicle that can go in these places and not get suck (ala Ford Trasnsit).

I don't know much about Land Rovers but i really after a proper one not a Freeland, more along the lines of a county or Defender. How much would we looking to be paying for a good nick second hand one and what should i look for (don't know much about SHcars). Really after a 5 door version with a roof rack and a winch on the front, although we can buy those . Also do these Landys have a PTO like the really old defenders?

Thanks

I'd suggest going to the forums at www.difflock.co.uk and asking in the LR forums there, you'l get much more input.

Also why not look at another make, it's not just LR's that can go offroad.
