Landline problem anyone have any idea?

Hi all,

this is on behalf of my mother , she's had trouble all day with her landline , i cant seem to connect (get a ring) at all via any phone to her home (landline) & she cant phone out either her provider is via TalkTalk (yes i know - pants) all TT have said is for her to disconnect all her phone equipment and see what happens then!

I've only managed once to acctaully get to an automate " the person you are calling is on the phone etc" can it be her adsl filters? she said that the only issues she had was static the other day ... apart from that .. nothing.

Disconnect all the ADSL kit and try the modem connected directly to the master socket. If it still doesn't work, moan at TalkTalk till they fix it (if they're the voice service provider).
