New Series Streaming November 17 exclusively on Paramount+.

Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, LANDMAN is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs.

The new original drama series will star Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton. In addition to Thornton, the series stars Ali Larter (The Last Victim), Michelle Randolph (1923), Jacob Lofland (Joker 2), Kayla Wallace (When Calls the Heart), James Jordan (Yellowstone), Mark Collie (Nashville), Paulina Chávez (The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia), and Demi Moore (Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans). Jon Hamm (Mad Men) will star in a recurring guest role with Andy Garcia (Expendables franchise) and Michael Peña (End of Watch) also serving as guest stars.

Watched the first episode last night now it's finished s1 run, was not expecting it to end like it did, not grabbed me so far unlike some of the previous Sheridan shows first episodes like Mayor of Kingstown and Lioness but I'll keep at it, was surprised that Demi Moore didn't appear in the first episode at all considering she's one of the 'main billed' characters.

Finished it earlier and it has it's moments but one of the weaker Sheridan shows so far, hopefully it gets picked up for s2 as Billy Bob says if it does they'll start filming again in Feb / March with how it ended.

Felt at times like it needed a huge this program is sponsored by 'big oil' banner with how heavy they were getting the message across that anything but oil is bad.

If we do get s2 hopefully they rework Rebecca more due to her new role, she was starting to mellow out slightly in the middle then they ramped her back up the other way.

What a lackluster start to s2, apart from 2 minutes of info dump nothing happened.

I didn't think it was possible but they've made his daughter even dumber in s2, her 'interview' with the school reminded me of this from Billy Madison:

Slighty better episode this week hopefully with how it ended it actually starts going places from now on, they really could have condensed these first 2 episodes into 1.

Episode 3 & 4 starting to get this going in the right direction, the table scene in episode 4 showed they can write a good show when they try.

I was beginning to really like Ariana's character but now she is just becoming plain annoying. Cooper needs a slapping to get his head in gear as he is way too respectable.

Reading the subreddit apparently this is what dating a latina girl is like  so they see nothing wrong with how her character is written.

What a nothing burger of an episode this weeks was, even the ending felt like it was cut off in the wrong place.

Not enjoying how the storyline is going that suddenly Tommy doesn't have the best interest for the company and can't be trusted after basically running it for years

So we're now 8 episodes into s2 and it feels like nothing at all has happened apart from a couple of meetings regarding drilling for oil.

We've had more plot from his wife and the old people than the 'main' story.
