by the tower the one up north ..
so i've phoned emailed and tried to contact about 30 landscapers .. i've had 3 round .. but non have followed up ?
whats the problem ? i want my backyard 70sq mtr's doing in indian stone rainbow ..
most of the quotes are 6-7k which I'm happy with .. but it seems no one wants to do it ? it's a 6 day job at most .. little bit of levelling it's nearly flat now and laying of stone .. i've even said take out the fence posts to give you better access ?
so if your in the nw of england .. blackpoool area and want the work give me a shout ..
 
i will do it but would need all monies up front, i will be starting at 7am even on weekends also i have a motorbike that i like to tinker with so that will be there with me too.

i also wear gucci sandles and a belt if they break they will be added to the final bill.

I've had exactly the same issue. Phoned or left messages to a dozen. Two came round and measured up and then ghosted me - what a waste of their own time as well as mine. In the end I walked over the road to a neighbour who had someone doing something and got them to pop round to quote and thankfully they did the job a month later. He was telling me material prices are crazy and going up weekly. That combined with the fact that demand is high so there's long lead times to actually get the work done means people are reluctant to quote or massively inflate quotes to cover potential price rises between quoting and getting round to doing the work.

The guy who did my fence last month said exactly the same - He's refusing to give anyone written quotes at the moment because prices are going up so much and he's booked up for at least two months.
 
I’ve had exactly the same problem with plasterers/builders. We did at least get a date and a silly price from 1 plasterer so it’s not all bad.

there are just so many jobs going around so they can afford to be picky and/or offer worse customer service.

They are all mega busy so can pick and choose, most landscapers I know wouldn’t be keen on your job at the worst of times because it is deathly dull and right now they can afford to turn you down. 70sqr meters of flat stone would make most of them cry they want to be doing interesting work and planting etc they are creatives!

This, we have had about 6 builders around and none have got back in touch to do a garage, we managed to get a builder we have used loads of times and does fantastic work to come quote but he has also ghosted us completely after we agreed to him doing the work and agreeing the quote.

He's lost us in future for work, that'll teach him...
 
I would.pay 6k not to have this done to my garden, like to encourage wildlife, also do thimgs myself boiler rebuild included
But yeh things crazy at the moment I hear
 
If desperate, try finding a decent driveway company.

Though i'd probably just wait it out till next year now, or the next even.

Grass seed the lot, or bark covering, both cheap to do, if not prepared to do any work yourself.
