Lang D5 Vario - auto speed change

Guys,

Ive had a Lang D5 Vario pump MCP655 for few years now and its amazing. Having just purchased a Aquaero 5 LT, i would like to use this to control it.

My pump has a little dial to change the revs/min but I want to control the speed automatically, not manually.

Is it possible to change the revs/min by changing the voltage rather than with the little dial? It says it has a operating voltage of 6v to 14v and runs at 12v. So, if i reduce to 6v, will it slow down?

Rather check before frying £60 worth of pump.

Yeh you can do it with a potentiometer or a good fan controller, think hi amps such as the Lamptron FC2.

If the aquareo can automatically change voltage based on temp or some other measure and can handle the amps of a d5 then it should work.

One thing to note is that a d5 won't start up a 6v from experience, it needs more.
