I've just watched Aaron Pierre in Rebel Ridge (daft name, decent movie) and he was very watchable in it so it will be interesting to see how he progresses in this.
I was a fan of the comic so it's good to see this come to the big screen again.

Yeah he was pretty solid in it. Wonder if that landed him this role. Hope it's better than Ryan Reynolds attempt. I did think Mark Strong played a brilliant Sinestro I that movie.

Please be good, it can't be any worse than the RR film
It's weird isn't it, as bad as RR was in Green Lantern (2011) he was good in the Deadpool films. If ever there was a case of miscasting then Green Lantern (2011) seems to be it.

Don't understand why there was a suit hanging up in the wardrobe though, the Green Lantern doesn't wear a suit.

Was thinking that too. Guess they are going for rubber glove look rather than a energy suit.

I think unlike the RR movie, they are breaking into it slowly, starting with Earth and then introducing what a GL is and what they can do, then explain the sector which will eventually expand to the corp. Plus limiting the budget for CGI i reckon too.
