lapped 7950X cooler contact/ pressure

Hello everyone,



been a while... I bought a 7950x lapped for £250 (yes it works, and no it wasn't stolen.) I have a NHD15, I'm wondering if since the CPU was lapped (not sure how much was taken off), if the cooler will make contact? Are Noctua coolers compatible with heavily lapped CPUs? If not, can someone recommend a cooler capable of mounting fully on a heavily lapped CPU?

Put a straight edge across them. If both are flat, then you should be good assuming the ISH hasn’t been taken too far down.

A lapped 3D CPU? jeez that'll be cutting it fine for safety of the cpu. Interested to see your results for cooling and clocks.
