lapping first try

here is my first attempt at lapping my CPU, didnt take to long tbh but wasnt sure how far to take it down.

TBH the temps have only slightly dropped so think i will either get a new cooler or lap the arctic pro7 to see if that helps

should take it as far as it takes to get it flat IMO. It woukld take a belt sander to get all the way down to the core. For me it took nearly an hour makin sure it was perfectly flat and saw around 5-10C drop which i was very happy with.

lmao, I'd be carful with a belt sander, that looks fine tbh, just check it's all good and flat, then do the heatsink. As if the heatsink isn't flat you won't notice the difference in temps.
