Lapping / New HS

Well,

I'm considering lapping my E6300... am I right in saying the procedure is something like this:

Get a flat surface ie: bit of glass
Put protection cover on CPU over contacts.
Lay wet & dry on glass (coarse) and rub the CPU over it in figure of 8 fashion
repeat a few times with finer wet & dry...

Has anyone who's done this wetted the wet & dry or just used it as normal?

I'm thinking I will get a Tuniq Tower as I'm not overly impressed with my Freezer 7 Pro.

Also, best stuff and methods to clean off the thermal paste on the CPU at the moment? Is THIS the stuff I need? What's the best stuff to apply it with - cotton buds??

I just use akasa cleaner, any sort will do even alcohol aslong as is strong enough or nail varnish removing stuff... AS5 is the best paste, i use contton buds and cotton pads to clean. Just keep cleaning it till theres not much paste coming off . Dry it then aplly some new paste.
