Hi Guys,

Im going to be lapping my E4300 & tuniq tomorrow, ive had a read of the guide in the advanced overclocking thread and seen a few vids on youtube.

Does anyone have any advice for me or sharing there experience? This will be my first time at lapping and taking some wet and dry to my cpu will take quite some will power! :D

What are peoples oppinions between using sand paper compaired to wet and dry?

Well im all lapped up, temps are loads better :) knocked 10c off load temps was 67c now 57c so im really pleased.

Strangely enough the hardest thing was getting hold of the wet and dry in that high of a grade, ended up being halfords!!!
 
Yeah im really pleased tbh, i went from 400 up to 1500 on the wet and dry. Then added some metal polish. Not as crazy shiney as some peoples here and im sure people have got better temp decreases than me but im happy with that.

Idle temps have also gone down from 42c to 34c so im also really impressed with that as normally you dont see much of a decrease in idle temps. (Well i say normally, thats from me looking at other lapping posts)

Took about 3 to 4 hours in total. Very achey arms now but really worth it!
