lapping true 120

Eventually the paper will clog up and youll notice that it isnt doing its job, i lapped my TRUE black and previous q6600 with 400, 600, 800, 1200, 1500 and finally 2000 grit papers.

What is the preffered finishing grade ?
Ive got some 240, 400 + 600. Id imagine the 600 would give it a good finish - but as im doing it I might aswell get an excellent finish, no ? Its not what Id call effort.
Still not so sure about doing my nice new i7 920 . . .

EDIT: ah setter just posted. Ill see what I can find. When ive been polishing things up properly for my course ive used 1200 emory cloth and oil - not sure getting oil anywhere near the CPU is a great idea though.

How will paper that's not being used clog up? I said I can split it into 6 strips. Using one at a time.

Assuming this Fine, Medium and Coarse paper is wet and dry, will it do the job?

Ahh sorry, thought you meant washing papers youd already used, you need to make sure the paper your using is proper wet and dry, the type car resprayers use, not the type that painters and decorators use such as aluminium oxide or glass paper. And yep you can split sheets if you dont have enough.
