Just had a go at lapping my cpu and evo 120 cooler this afternoon. Spent 2 hours getting the peaks out of them both. There was quite a bit of deviation in both items too.

Anyway temps before: Idle = 42 c, Load (running Orthos) = 62 c

New temps Idle= 35 c, Load (again running Orthos) = 55 to 58 c

Seems to be running quite well at the moment, although I was quite nervous getting the old wet and dry out earlier, it seems to have been worth it.

Wonder what the temps will be like once the thermal paste has had a chance to bed in. How long is it they say it normally takes?

several hundred hours and multiple heat up and cool down cycles.
