First of all, hia all!
Right lets get to it!. Ive just ordered a new set-up, its my first air cooled setup and first general sensible setup;
i7 920 CPU
Titan TTC Fenrir Cooler
Now I wont be overclocking this system just yet, I want to use it then when I think its slowed down OC it and then ill think its gone back to normal.
However every CPU I've had I have lapped from new and I don't really like doing it. I only really bothered to get down to the copper for the Cool Labs Junkie Tubed Liquid Metal stuff but I don't think ill be using that either as its a pain to apply.
So in the future when i do decide to OC I will probably get a watercooled CPU setup with the junkie metal and lap the CPU so we'll be fine then.
So
Is it worth the bother now when I put the system together or is there no harm in waiting till its 'needed' and doing it then?
The only reason im asking is because ive never had an air cooled system and im not really sure how the temps will fluctuate with the normal setup.
