Lappy screen no wurkee

Hi guys my daughters laptop screen is not working properly if she tilts it right back and shines a light on it you can make out what is on the screen. And with the brightness turned up all the way no difference. The lappy is a Dell Inspiron 1546, any ideas... George.

LED back-light gone by the sounds of it.

New screen required.

Or is it still under warranty?

Purchased 2010 so no warranty all i have to do now is find out how to change the screen now. Thanks for your help. George.

It might just be the inverter thats gone...much more likely than back light going.
