Laptop 13500 / 4050 vs cheap laptop and a PS5?

So my wife is looking at laptops for college but it would be nice to have another device in the house capable of gaming (more Fortnite with the kid not competitive play)

Stuck between a 13500h / 4050 LOQ 16i (£800)
or
a £300 ish laptop (second hand or new it is for accounting course so doesn't need to be high spec) plus a PS5
We have a PS4 currently and would keep that so both us and the kid can play together.

I've just bought a Lenovo Ideapad gaming 3 with a ryzen 5 7535H + 4050 for £660 for my sons birthday in a couple of weeks and after installing windows, setting it up and having a little play with it this weekend I have to say I've been quite impressed especially with the overclocking and it handles games like Fortnite very well "even got a victory royal on a quick test run I did so still got it even at my age " although it'll probably struggle on the latest AAA stuff with just a 6gb VRAM buffer. In terms of a toss up between a 4050 laptop and PS5 though I'd probably lean towards a PS5 as the gaming experience is just superior especially if you have a decent TV.
