Laptop £300

Is it even really worth looking for one?

I only want something that would run XP and browse the net (preferably wireless).

Just an impulse buy really, but if I can't get one for under £300 then i won't bother. Probably blow it on Hookers and Coke instead...

Any particular models i should be looking for?

I have seen the dell 1300 (1.5ghz celeron M, 256mb ddr2, 40gb HD, dvdrw, 14.1inch widescreen) for £299 incl delivery although I think that was a special offer. It is normally £339 I think.
For the money it is an excellent spec.

its possible, picked up a 2nd hand medion for 330, 12" widescreen, celeron m 1.3, 40 gig hd, but i did have to spend some cash on it, 20 quid on the wifi card, 80 on the ram (1 gig crucial ram) and 66 quid on a 4 hours battery, and after all that i havent even used it
