Laptop £500 Best Bang for Buck

My sister is looking to spend £500 on a new laptop. Just wondering what the best manufacturer for that price will be, anyone bought one recently.....

I'd have a look at Acer - hard to beat on the value 'bang for buck' scene.

Mainly for office / dvds and maybe a spot of video editing. Must have wifi, and ideally be a widescreen if possible
