laptop a/c adapter

i'm trying to find an a/c adapter for an advent 7037, i've found one but it's £75 and i'm not paying that for it. if i was to get a generic one what would i be looking at just the conenctor type/size and the voltage ?

With a generic one you should find out if the laptop model is supported by the adapter if possible, if it doesn't specifically say then look for one with interchangeable tips, that matches up the voltage e.g. 18.5v or whatever it may be internally - not the 110v-240v though as that just informs you it is an auto-switching model (and all are now I think).
