Laptop Advice pls

I know desktop PC Specs but Laptops r a lil deciving, My daughters asking advice about getting a Laptop for work mainly, but would like it to play sims 3 aswell (if it plays L4d and Team Fortress 2 would be extra)
shes not looking to spend a great deal, around the £300-£400 mark.
I had a look on here and liked these 2. can someone just advise to what ones would be better.

Samsung R730 17.3" LED Intel Dual Core T4500, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, DVD-RW, Win7 Home Premium

or

I'd say the one with dedicated graphics.

Also 17 inches is pretty big to be very portable.

ok thx for all help so far, not so worried about screen size just want the one that will play the stuff she wants the best for the £300-400 price range
