Laptop Advise

Hello Chaps, I need some help on lookin for a laptop, i have posted this before in the laptop section didnt get a response , What im looking for is something portable, Battery life, more Internet use, Price range up to 1500 MAX. quite like the Sony and Samsung range, I had a look at the Samsung X360, and the Sony VAIO - Z21WN/B Core, any advise would be good, the reason i need the laptop, working 12 hr shifts. 4 days on 4 days off. Gets boring at night monitoring servers

You're giving not a lot of criteria tbh. Every laptop matches your needs more or less.

How important is the battery life? Do you want 3hrs or 8?
Do you need Windows?
Do you care what it looks like?
Do you need to play games?
Do you need to log onto any networks and which type?
Do you need esata or firewire?
Do you need the best trackpad?

Yes i do, if im going to pay quite a bit for it, got to be nice looking, as i will use it a lot.

Nah no games required, got Desktop and xbox for that!!

It has to have Wireless N, and 3g Modem would be handy!!!

Dont really need esata or firewire, Yes a decent trackpad!!!

Forgot it has to be portable!!!
