MY 5 year old Toshiba P4 is finally giving up on me, but since I only use it for web/music downloads (I've got my X360 for gaming) I wont be needing sli'd 7900's or the like so can anyone suggest a machine for around £400, would prefer a DVD burner on it, but that's all really.

Cheers in advance!

Got my Dad a new acer aspire 5051 for £388 inc dvd-rw, 512mb and a 2.0ghz Turion processor, widescreen 1280x800, 60gig S-ata Drive. Runs very nice and includes Vista upgrade, pay a £10 more and they come with Vista pre-installed. Excellent bang for buck.

www.dell.co.uk - make yourself a custom one on there, you could make something pretty good for £400

Vista basic comes with all laptops, upgrade to premium for £35.
