Here's an odd question. On my laptop I have a standard audio out jack at the front. I;m curious as to whether I can connect a couple of little external speakers to this and have have the audio output to both the external speakers AND the built in ones on the laptop? Wondering if, when the built in speakers turn off (when plugging in external speakers) if it's a hardware switch or a software switch?
Guessing it's hardware, but thought I'd ask first.
