I have a problem with the backlight on my laptop screen.
It sometimes wont turn on after being suspended/lid closed (and seems to be getting progressively worse).
The display is still working, i can still just about work out whats going on by holding it up to the light at the correct angle. I can get into display settings and adjust the resolution which fixes it.
I change the resolution and the display lights up again. Sometimes only for a second or so and i change the resolution again until it stays, sometimes it works first time.
It doesnt often turn off when im using it (but has done occasionally), it mainly happens after i have suspended it or closed the lid, the screen wont come on again.
It doesnt seem to be software related as i dual boot windows7 + ubuntu and it happens on both (and changing the resolution fixes it on both).
Anybody got any ideas?
