Laptop Batteries

I've got an old Dell Inspiron that the kids use and the battery is totally dead.

Any suggestions of a good place to buy a replacement ?

The official Dell one is silly money, but I don't want any explosions !

I have used amazon for a few different dell notebook batteries, apart from one sending the wrong one initially, no real problems and a lot cheaper than Dell. Keep an eye out for higher capacity batteries too, longer between charges and still as lot cheaper than Dell.
