Laptop Batteries

Got a Acer Aspire 5742Z, battery has finally decided to spring it's mortal coil.

Looking to replace the standard one for higher capacity battery,is it better to go for genuine one, or a cheaper one.

Any places recommended for buying them from.

I have always got the replacement batteries off the bay
Having said that you do get what you pay for and none of them retain a full charge after around a year
i.e. they work but go from full to empty in a varying time ,some in as little as 6 mins
But i have seen genuine batts for £50 and a replacement delivered for £15

I always buy the genuine battery because they last a lot longer than non-genuine alternatives.

As Andarial mentioned, you get what you pay for.
