Hey guys, been a while since I last posted in the forums.
My problem is that the battery icon says
"90% available (plugged in, charging)
Consider replacing your battery."

Ive only had this laptop for 11 months so its not that old.
I mostly leave it on charge while using it because I play games most of the time and I dont want it to shut down in the middle of the game.

Today when I was playing LoL it shut down as I didnt have the charger plugged in because I took it downstairs for my parents to watch the news.

When I turned it back on the message just came up and Ive tried restarting the laptop, taking the battery out etc to see if the message would go away. This message has come up a few times now and taking out the battery made the message go away but not this time.

Do I need to buy a new battery to solve this "problem" or Can I just phone the shop/company and get a battery replacement as Im sure it's still under warranty.
Or is there an easy fix for this problem?

Thanks

Windows 7 will report a problem with the battery when the fully charged capacity drops below a certain amount, my acer 6935G reports the same problem, it will however still last 30mins, batteries do lose capacity over time its just the nature of the material. Some manufacturers will warrant for 12 months, some for 6 some even less.

If its holding a charge but capacity has lowered technically its still functioning as a battery, and they may not replace it, best to contact them.

I've had the same problem now with two different laptops :/ I'm beginning to think its me :L But each time I've contacted both dell and HP they've both sent out a new battery whilst I was still in warranty.

hey guys just a quick update..
turned out the battery only has 6 months warranty so they cant replace it. would it be worth calling the shop i got it from?

You can find suitable replacements off the well known auction site, just check their feedback and maybe you can even pick up a high capacity version :)
