Ok, a teacher's laptop has had a password added to both the BIOS and the user access to the machine itself. Yesterday, i input the BIOS password and attempted to remove the user password. However, after doing that (and putting in what i thought was a blank password) i now can't access either the BIOS or get past the user password screen - three attempts and the laptop switches off.
Anyone know how i can hard reset the password? Would the only option be fingering around inside to remove reset the CMOS or would the password remain intact?
