A friend give me his laptop to look at Toshiba L350 17" thing because he said it wouldnt boot up.
I tracked the problem down to a faulty hard drive, it wasnt showing in the laptops bios so i removed it and stuck it in my desktop computer and it still wasnt showing in the bios.
So i replaced it with a spare hard drive i had and give it him back, 3 days later he rings me up again saying that it wont boot again, i get it back off him and same problem the HDD not showing up in any bios both desktop and laptop.
I know the HDD i gave him works perfectly because ive been using it.
Does the Toshiba have a history of frying drives? Is there anything else that may be causing the problem?
