laptop boot problems

when to turn a laptop on today and doenst look good

the screen stays blank, the power light is flashing on and of

and every time I hit a key for exampe to go into safe mode, nothing the laptop just bleeps at me,

whenever I hit a key it just bleeps

are you gettng a battery charge light, it sounds like a flat battery sympton, if you have a multimeter try and test the adapter

the battery light is green and just sits there flashing

well it sounds like its getting power to it, try it on an external monitor plug in then turn on if nothing then like you say would suspect mainboard if you have the know how you can try taking the memory out if it has 2 stick try one then the other on their own

just had the same problem on my acer ......sorry to say it was a mainboard change......thank god for warranties lol
