Laptop Buying Advice Needed

Hi everyone

I'm looking to buy a laptop so I can learn how to develop and build websites. I'll be taking it too and from work so I can keep practicing on a single project at a time. I'll be doing a bit of light content creation for those websites, I have a desktop that's more than capable of doing some heavy content creation, videos etc. But it would be nice if the laptop I get could handle some of that so I don't have to keep swapping computers.

Laptops I have found so far:
Lenovo Flex 2 Pro
Acer Aspire V Nitro
MSI Ghost

Things I'm looking for:
– IPS screen (ideally matte)
– No optical drive
– No VGA port
– USB 3 ports (anything faster would be great)
– Relatively sturdy as I'll be transporting it a lot

Thanks for any help you guys can give ;)

All of our current laptops at OcUK come with an extended 3rd year warranty service.

What kind of budget do you have in mind

Hi there thanks for the response.

Sorry, I forgot to say, my budget is £800 top end, I'd be willing to spend an extra £50-60 on top of that if there was something just over that.

I'm ideally looking for a nice, relatively portable machine for web development that can handle some minor content creation (Photoshop, Illustrator possibly After Effects). So I'd say 15.6" is at the top end for screen size for me.

I quite like the look of the Lenovo Yoga laptops, they're nice and portable, just don't know if they have the power.

Thanks again

Im looking for something similar for my father in law, hes into photography.

He used my 3xs laptop once with an IPS screen and decided he needs one, he has a similar budget if not less than yourself.
