Jut want to check Im getting my moneys worth for this laptop. Basically what I need is a laptop for writing/working on. I want a 17 in monitor. It doesnt have to be moblie. I dont care about size and battery life. Its just getting moved from the lab where I work to home. The most important thing is it has to handle multiple applications at once say 6-7 (word, exel with big files, PdF reader, software specific to my work). My home computer manages all of this fine with a 6300 @ 3 Gig and 2 Gig memory. My problem isnt so much the spec that I need but more the cost. I dont realy no if Im getting a good laptop for the money as I have never had an interest in laptops.

Im currently looking at

Acer Aspire 7720G Laptop
Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 / 2 GHz
2 GB DDR2
Hard Drive 250 GB SATA
NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 256 Mb

plus wireless etc.

This is costing £529.97

Is this resonnable or will I find something better by looking around?
