Hey,
I am having huge problems with my laptop charger - the connection has gotten very loose,I am sure the problem is with the cord. I use to have to jiggle the charging cord around to find a spot where the laptop will charge (these spots are impossible to find now) and I seem to have to hold my hand there if there is to be any chance that it will continue charging, but a few days ago it seems that the connection seems to be dead, theres no way I can charge my laptop. I was wondering apart from buying a new power adapter can I buy parts and fix it myself and is it hard to do?

Negative cable has probably oxidized, had this myself (laptop charger) If you can replace the cable from the brick to the laptop it should fix it. Could be connector inside the laptop as well, but try new lead/new charger first.

I'm deffo sure its not the laptop cos I used my sister laptop charger on my laptop and it charged fine.

How much is the cable to buy and it is fairly hard to change?

If it's fixed then you can't remove it, new charger time. I found a universal laptop charger for about half the price of official Acer charger. It's a competitor so can't mention it, but it's one of the major electrical component suppliers with stores who stock various things.
