Hey guys, after some reading about and research I have decided to settle down with 2 laptops but I am torn between the 2 as to which way to go. Thought I would share the specs and ask for some opinions as to the best deal. The main differences between the two are that the Toshiba offers blue-tooth whereas no HMDI output or Blu-ray + lower res., but it does offer a better warranty service and OS system (Home vs Pro):

Can I get some proper input please? What do you think is the best deal??
Also if any of you do know of a better laptop (within the same price range) please do share :)

Loos like the Sony to me - The Sony has a blue-ray player with all other specs the same. There is a £100 difference in price but thats really down to the toshiba's 3 year warranty compared to Sony's 1 year, to extend the sony warranty to 3 years is likely to cost you £100 ish extra.

I've ordered the Sony, albeit with 6GB RAM and an i5-520 rather than an i5-430, and am expecting it tomorrow. If you order it through Sony Style you'll get a Blu-ray writer instead of the player. The Sony also has a full HD screen which the Tosh doesn't.

do you know where I can get warranty from Sony?

Yes, quite a bit. If you can get the Sony for that price, it's definitely worth it. A quick spec on Sony Style put it at around a grand.

Yup my original price bracket was around £500-£600 but found this deal and thought heck put it another £100 and get me a nicer machine =P

You said yours is due tomorrow? Do post back here and let us know how it goes please :)
