Thanks for the quick reply. I have read terrible stories aboutAcers support. But dell and asus are the only ones with good GFX cards it seems.

Asus has the ATI X1600 and Dells has the Nvidia go 7800.

Thank you for your feed back ! :)

I'm still undecided as there are both seem to be great laptops, are around the same price and both come from well know companies that (hopefully) wont disappear just after I ordered it.

Does anyone have any expirence with laptops from Dell and/or Asus ?

17" is cool, 1920 x 1200 !!!

I dont think most games will run very fast at that res.

Is the 7800 Go much better than the X1600 ?
How would a 7800 Go do verses a 6800 GT (desktop) ?

(Quickest replies ever !!! Thank you Gibbo and Syk3 :) )

Some more questions...
For the Dell how easy is it to get replacement batteries and charges as the past from mobile phones to games consoles they are always the most likely to fail.

Also is the Dell well built, no cheap plastic feel ?

I see, Will Dell's Warranty be voided (changed in any way) by buying it from here ?
Also Will Dells Warranty be voided if i install a linux distro and dual boot ?

Hmm...

Well I will sleep on the subject and order it tomorrow.

Also some more questions (thanks for being patient :) )
Has anyone run Boinc on a laptop and is it likely to die after 24/7 full load ?
And, Silly question (but hey), I have a Pentium D820 system that is making my ears bleed with constant jet engine noise are laptops noisy after long use ?

Does the Dell 9400 sold here come with the backup/Windows install disks?
(So I can get rid of the Dell-O-Fide™ windows for a more normal desktop)
