So my friend is buying a new laptop and we have come up with a few that seem decent, but we cant decide...

all similar price, similar specs, just wondering if anyone has had any experience, also what are the ocuk own brand laptops like in the same price range, are they worth a look?

For 14" I'd recommend Gigabyte P34G really. Here's a review and won their best buy award. http://www.itproportal.com/reviews/hardware/gigabyte-p34g-review/

For 17" GE70 that you posted is a good choice, good value for money.
