Laptop Cooler (using desktop fans)

Does anyone know if I could get a laptop cooler/cooling pad where I can screw in desktop fans? Why? I got a Antec Notebook cooler, had it for four years, it works well but overtime, the fans get noisier and noisier. I unscrewed it today to see if I could replace the pair of 70mm fans, but they're 70 x 70 x 10mm fans. Can't find them anywhere, and it's probably cheaper to invest in a whole new laptop cooler.

So this brings me this question....could I buy some sort of laptop pad, where I could fit my own silent (perhaps 10mm or 12mm) widely available desktop fans? If not, someone should come up with the idea. I'm no good at DIY!

As you have already opened up the case of the cooler, try giving the fans a squirt of lubricant. The fans should be quieter.

CoolerMaster Notepal X1 is one example of one that uses a 120x120x25 fan. But it doesn't look like this is sold in the UK
