Hi Guys

Looking at a new laptop around 4/500.

Its not going to be for gaming just general use.

I know centrino 2? is out these days.

How do you know if its a centrino 2 or not? Is it worth paying extra for.

Most in my range seem to be around 2 ghz, 3/4 gig ram. but for an extra 100 you can get 2.5 ghz ones. Are they centrino 2?

Are Intel still best laptop cpu's?

So far i have seen the following CPU's different models but all 2ghz??

INTEL CORE 2 DUO T5750 2ghz, but ive also seen the T5800 is 2 ghz and ive seena T3200 that is 2ghz and a P7350 that is 2ghz!

Thanks in advanced

Seconds looks seems its more around 700 to get to around 2.5

There doesent seem to be many levels of CPU clocks around. Just a load of 2 ghz but different types.

Ive seen a HP, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5750 (2 Ghz, 667 Mhz, 2 MB Cache) Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium 3 GB Memory 250 GB Hard disk drive Blu-ray DVD combo drive 15.4" widescreen display Ethernet & Wireless networking Webcam with integrated microphone nVidia GeForce 8400M GS graphics

£500. That is a T not a P though,

There just seems to be so many laptops of similar specs but totally different prices, unless im being mad

Paying a bit more doesen't seem to make much difference in spec, think its just personal taste.

Can get the Dell 1545 for £399

Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 (2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB Cache) Genuine Windows Vista(R) Home Premium 3GB Memory 250GB Hard Drive 15.6" Widescreen Screen DVD/RW Wireless Enabled 3 No. of USB Connections Blue Colour

Is this centrino 2?

Also, anyone know what resolution these are? SItes im looking at (cant say name) dont seem to give the most detailed specs
