My girlfriends laptop is a HP G42
Their was a weird noise coming from the laptop at first which then stopped, but suddenly the fan stopped making a noise as if it was no longer spinning.
Reset the laptop but was then presented with the message:
system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly.
Iook the back off the laptop to get access to the fan, made sure it was connected properly and cleaned it out of dust, however it still doesn't work at all.
I'm just baffled as to how it can work fine for ages and then suddenly go like this?
Any advice?
